The U14s lost 36 - 14 against a very strong Reading Blue Coat side in the County Cup today.
Our Rugby 1st XV produced an incredible victory against Reading Blue Coat to reach the semi finals of the County Cup. The match was always expected to be difficult and tense, with Reading School winning by just 1 point, 19 - 18. Reading will now play either Pangbourne College, Furze Platt or Maiden Erlegh (at home).
Meanwhile, our U16 team had a slightly less exciting match against Ranelagh yesterday. After 45 minutes of play, the scores were level at 7 - 7 when it became impossible to see the ball and play was abandoned. Apologies for the delay in fixing the other pages of the website. We hope to resolve this by the end of next week at the latest.
The 1st XV will now play Reading Blue Coat tomorrow in the county cup (home fixture; 14:30 start). The U14s will also play Reading Blue Coat on Thursday in the county cup (home fixture; 14:15 start). The U13B fixture on Saturday has now been cancelled. The U15s will play Edgbarrow School next Monday in the county cup (home fixture; 15:00 start). Congratulations to County House who won this evening's Senior House Table Tennis. West finished 2nd, School and East tied for 3rd and Laud House finished 5th in their first ever house competition.

Please note that House Table Tennis will start with the Senior competition next Monday and not today as previously stated. The competitions for all other year groups will also take place a week later than scheduled.
People taking part should have white kit and indoor trainers and each team must have four competitors. Unfortunately, due to the redevelopment of the gym, the eagerly anticipated House Ghost will not be taking place this year, but will hopefully be introduced in 2017. The U14s produced their best performance of the season so far when it mattered most when they won against Windsor Boys by just 7 points last week. Despite having lost 50 - 0 to the same team just a few weeks previously, the squad maintained a positive approach and ultimately came away victorious.
Meanwhile, the U15s played Desborough College on Thursday and comfortably progressed in Round 2 after scoring 55 points without reply. Our Lacrosse A and B teams played through the rainy conditions today to finish in 3rd and 5th places respectively in the Holder Trophy.
This week is by far the busiest week of cup action for a long time, with the next round of five different competitions taking place. The Football 1st XI will be aiming to put their extra time loss behind them as they take on Sandhurst School tomorrow in the County Cup, while our Lacrosse Team travel to London to compete in the Holder Trophy. Meanwhile, the second round of our U18 and U15 national rugby competitions are taking place on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, with each team hoping to get one step closer to the Twickenham final. Finally, our U14s will be looking to win their first match of the season when they play Windsor Boys for the second time in the first round of the County Cup.
Good luck to all of our teams! A provisional fixture list for the Lent Term is now available to view on the calendar page. Please note however that this list is likely to be added to in the coming weeks.
Our 1st XV team swept aside Desborough College by 57 points to 7 yesterday to progress into the second round of the National Vase, where they will face Sir William Borlase's Grammar School in a couple of weeks time. Meanwhile, the U15s had a more difficult task tonight, but managed to come out as victors by just 5 points to progress into the second round of the Year 10 National Cup.

A full list of results can be viewed in the results section of this website, and a selection of photographs are now also available to look at in the gallery. Today marks the first of the school's arguably most enjoyable two days in the school calendar. For the first time, inter house cricket for A teams will be split over two days instead of one, with each day lasting from 9:00 until 15:00. The A team results will be mixed with those of the B and C teams, so that the winners for each year group are determined. In the Year 10 competition, the absence of B and C teams means that the winner of the competition will be determined by the number of A team matches won. Two matches will take place at a time on the front field, with one on the main pitch and the other on the pitch near to Music School.
