Our U12A and U12B played magnificently today in dreadful, rainy conditions in the Year 7 Rugby Festival at Reading Blue Coat School.
The U12As finished second in their group, winning three matches (5-0, 3-0 and 2-0 in tries) and losing one (3 tries to 0). They then went into the Trophy competition, winning 4-0 in the Quarter Final, 3-0 in the Semi Final and unfortunately losing to Claire's Court 2-1 on the Final.
Meanwhile, the U12Bs finished third in their group, with two wins and two losses. They progressed into the knock out stages, but lost 1-0 to Slough and Eton, who ultimately won the Vase.
Today was a hugely promising display of Year 7 rugby, with both the A and B teams making progress in the competition, which was contested by 40 local schools.
